KDOT is briefing local public officials as the design plans for the K-7 and I-70 Interchange develop. A public meeting was held for the project in Bonner Springs on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Bonner Springs High School (100 McDanield) to discuss the current status of the project with the public in an open house format, using short presentations, detailed project maps, and other illustrations.

To date the public has been invited to attend three open house meetings for the interchange project. KDOT will use postcard invitations, newspaper announcements in local papers, this project website, www.twitter.com/KansasCityKDOT , and K-TOC, Kansas Transportation Online Community to announce future public meetings for the project.
